Title: Vim cant be killed..

I have a problem with neverending vim........

in "top" I use, k then the process ID 17013 then y to confirm..

But the process still hangs.. :(
are there anyway to kill vim... I cant remember when I used it last, but its over 30 days ago..

Help ?

kill -s 9 <PROCESS NUMBER>

I assure you that it will kill it.  Had the same problem with someone who was in vi and just killed his putty session without getting out of it.

That did not work for me, tryed to kill the process several times, the only thing that worked, reboot.. typical, when you finaly reach the 100 day marker. .heh
