Title: Integrated video cards and cable modems
Post by: Victor Richardson on August 04, 1999, 11:35:06 PM
Does your system support motherboards w/ integrated video cards(will video graphics work)? Are there any soecial issues involved w/ using a cable modem for access? If so, are they ISP specific? We are using @Home.

thanks, Victor

Hi Victor!  Thanks for your post! VIDEO CARDS:  The system requires only standard VGA graphics.  I can't imagine there would be a problem.  Most of the interface is web-based, accessed from a desktop computer, so we don't have extensive requirements.  CABLEMODEMS: We work great with cable modems.  Version 3.0 that will be released shortly (it's out on beta now) even has support for dynamic IP addressing (DHCP) on the external interface.  Regards, Kim
