Title: How can ClamAV / Amavis delete infected files
Post by: azche24 on September 03, 2004, 08:00:38 AM
Hi folks,

I am using clamav from contribs.org without any Problems.

But: With the regular full-scan of amavis there should be an option to remove infected files.

I do not know how to achive this. I am using assp, so all the evil worms and virii go into /user/local/assp/spam or ../virii ; they are scanned again and again by clamav, but the are not removed (as it should be).

P.S.: I have a very conservative approach with virii - if that stuff is unwanted, delete it! 100 % of the infected files on my servers are Spam-Mail or suspicious downloads. So there is no user-interaction needed.

cheers Alex

That was it! You have to add "--remove" Option just behind the clamscan-call in

/etc/e-smith/templates/etc/clamscan/20body

I just added this to the WIKI
