At our main site we have the SME server setup behind our router and firewall and we have a VPN connected to our remote site. At the main site I can access our files using my username/passwd that I have on our SME server but from the remote site going across the VPN, I can see the folders but when it asks me for a username/passwd and I supply it, it doesn't let me in the directory. It just pops up the username/passwd dialog box asking for it again.
I have tried adding the remote local IP into the 'Local networks' but I still have the same problem. Is there a way to access the server files from a remote location using the VPN?
Thanks for any ideas,
Jon

Maybe this helps: http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=24038.msg96075#msg96075

Thanks for the reply, I actually read that yesterday and added the contrib to my server. The problem I am having is that my SME box is not in server/gateway mode. It is behind an ipcop box and a router.
I was wondering if I could open up a port to allow the ipcop box at the remote location to connect to the SME box box behind the ipcop and router at the main location. I already have a VPN between the two ipcop boxes but when I try to login into the SME server which is also our fileserver it doesn't accept my username/password. At the main site when a user is local it will allow me to login with my username/passwd.
Does that make any sense?
Any more ideas are GREATLY appreciated,
Jon
