Title: gallery wont display pictures!
Post by: askelon on September 10, 2004, 08:10:19 AM
Im having problems with people on the internet being able to view any graphics in gallery.  I have installed (and reinstalled) it twice following the script here: http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/

It works perfect in my local network but just wont display any pictures from outside of it.  Anyone have any suggestions?  The website is as follows if you want to see what it does: http://www.askelon.com/gallery/

How have you set up your ibay?

You need to have the ibay public from the internet (or accessible via password). If you have set it to available on the entire internet but with password, then you need to set the password before it will work.

I have done this recently and it works perfectly, so it can be done and the scripts are good!

Its setup as a public via the internet with the group set to my admins group (not the admin account) and the read by everyone.  It loads everything but the pictures/graphics.

i had this problem once.
In ur configuration u must configure ur albums.
The first time i installed gallery i used my internal ip adres, ofc outsiders cannot view the gallery coz the gallery search to ur internal adres.

So use ur external adres
Hope this will work

That actually gave me a damned good idea on what to change!  I just changed the config of the gallery to point to my IP address instead of my domain name and now it works :)

I am using Jalbum on my SME server and works like dream.
You do all the processing on your desktop and just upload to the server.
You may want to try it yourself.
