Title: 1gb of ram - not enough memory???
Post by: stowe39 on September 11, 2004, 02:57:49 AM
Hi
I am trying to install Mitel SME on a compaq proliant 2500 with dual 200mhz processors, 1gb ram and five 9.1gb scsi hdds.  I am using a downloaded iso.  The server boots from the cd, but stops at a blue screen that says "ERROR you do not have enough ram to install mitel networks server on this machine" and when i click OK (which is the only option), it reboots.

Has anyone else come across this problem?  Any suggestions would be appreciated?

It was a problem with old compaq servers not reporting the whole amount of RAM to OS.
I think you need to add boot time options telling the installer your real RAM size, but I don't remember the exact procedure.
