I have been using SME 6.0 for about a year now and this is my first major issue. The SME server is handling DNS, DHCP, e-mail, website hosting and the like. There is no antivirus or spam filtering installed. It is a vanilla 6.0 box with no patches as of yet.
The issue is that all of the clients behind the e-smith box are not able to get updates from Symantec. Norton Antivirus used to automatically pull down updates when they were released. Now I can't even manually run Live Update. I can plug the PC directly to my modem and it updates fine. I can take a PC to another office and it will update just fine. The only constant seems to be the Mitel server.
I have searched the forums already for issues relating to this and the closest I could find was the issue of Windows XP not activating properly through SME. Any help would be appreciated. If you need any additional info, tell me what you need. I don't know all the ins and outs of linux so be gentle... :-)

Have you installed any new modules of late ?
I have some problems with autoupdates that use port 80, because squid will want todo an authentication first.

Nope, no new modules loaded in quite some time. I thought maybe the machine is having a problem using my ISP's DNS servers or that it is not resolving Symantec's update sites properly. How can I point my SME server at a ROOT DNS manually? Maybe that will solve my problem...or at least narrow it down a bit.
