Title: Custom ISO
Post by: cc_skavenger on September 15, 2004, 03:32:41 PM
Trying to create a custom ISO with MasterSleepy's Custom Kernel.  Keep getting LILO error.  System starts LILO but stops at LI.  The only thing that I did was replace the kernel rpms with the ones that MasterSleepy created.  Do I need to create something special for this to boot?

TIA

Marco

Hi skav

I am trialling the SMP build of the latest kernel from the sleepy one (so far so good) but if ya look at the howto it requires a its own matching initrd file as well as the updated iptables.

Are you including the SMP kernel as well as the single proc?

No, just using the single processor kernel for now.  That is what I am trying to figure out.  Does mkisofs use the current system for the initrd image?  If so, I think that I have to upgrade the system that I am building the ISO with and then rebuild it.

Not sure, but will keep trying...

Thanks
