I have been running this particular version of sme since it was released and have had no problems until about a month ago. (i'm on cable btw) I run my websites and email from this server and it is set as server and gateway. when it stopped working, i was behind an ipcop firewall, so i took the ipcop out of the loop and set sme to server and gateway, no luck. I then backed up and did a clean install. Still cannot access any of my sites using http. I'm not running any custom configs or anything. Also, i cannot receive email to my accounts either, but i can send. I have webmail enabled, and set to allow access from http or https, but only https works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a newb on some of this so if you need something specific, tell me where to go and get it. Thanks a bunch

Is it possible that your ISP is blocking it.
What version of SME?
Can you get to it from the inside of the network?
Login to the SME box and try,
lynx http://localhost/webmail

My cable provider blocks port 80 and is now blocking port 25. If you can get to it by https, I'd bet that this is the case. It seems it is easier to move your port 80 to 8080 than it is to move your port 25 to 2525. Do a search and you should find info on how to do it. I'm trying to find a howto on fixing my port 25.

I'm running version 6 and i can get to it localy fine. I think yall are right though, I think cox-internet is blocking port 80 and 25 to it's residential customers now. Darn them, Darn them to heck. Anyway, I'll take a look at the port changes. Thanks for your help

Thanks, I've been watchng the thread. I've not attempted any updates to my SME beyond the install. I'm not comfortable with the *nix type command line as yet, but I will try.
