Has anyone attempted to install this on the latest contribs.org release? I am getting a
NAGIOS CRITICAL - could not find proc file: /proc/1075024652
error when starting nagios and am looking for a work arround.
Thanks
Neririn

I've installed nagios on SME 6.01.01 and it works great. No problem at all. Did you get error when installing the packages?
-
No, I didnt. Which RPMs did you install? did you have to change many of the config files?
-
I've installed all the rpm's in from this archive:
http://landsitz.homelinux.net/tarballs/nagios-for-sme-complete.tgz
And after that I didn't change a thing in the config file. I still have to tweak the config, but nagios is running out of the box.

When starting nagios, did you not get any errors about incorrect locations for log files or anything? When I do a service nagios start I get errors. How are you starting the service?

service nagios start. Worked without an error. Did you really install all the rpm's in the archive?

Yes, I have now re-downloaded and installed still no good. Odd

Does anyone know what this /proc file is and how I might create it or where it is defined in nagios that I might point it some where else?

Seems to work on 5.6 with the same RPMs. Too bad I need it on my 6.0.1-01 box
