Title: Virus Found on my SME box
Post by: Tib on October 09, 2004, 04:51:21 PM
Hello all,

My machine just ran a virus check on my SME system and found a few viruses.

Below is the e-mail Clam  sent me:

//var/spool/squid/00/2C/00002CEE: Exploit.HTML.MHT-3 FOUND
//var/spool/squid/00/3F/00003F74: Trojan.Downloader.Beti FOUND
//var/spool/squid/00/3F/00003F7B: Trojan.Spy.Ncase-2 FOUND
//var/spool/squid/00/3F/00003F7E: Trojan.Clicker.Delf.R FOUND

----------- SCAN SUMMARY -----------
Known viruses: 24249
Scanned directories: 13502
Scanned files: 65975
Infected files: 4
Data scanned: 1077.48 MB
I/O buffer size: 131072 bytes
Time: 1012.945 sec (16 m 52 s)

Am I correct that the area it found the viruses in is the cache area. And how is the best way to get rid of these viruses of the system.

Thanks,

Tib

1) clear the squid-cach with the contrib (search)
2) delete the files by hand.

and maybe your virusscanner reported a non-virus...

cheers
