Title: WinXP very unresponsive
Post by: scotta on October 13, 2004, 03:56:46 PM
I have a WinXP machine that logs onto the domain fine, no errors and the registry has been changed:
"RequireSignOrSeal"=dword:00000000

This machine is very unresponsive especially right-clicking anywhere. Celeron 2.8 512MB RAM.

The rest of the network is all win9x and they all work great.

Any ideas?

Also how do I give an ordinary domain user permissions to add a printer in XP?

Thanks
Scott

Make sure that WinXP uses SME server as WINS server. That will speed up name resolution.

Add domain user to local "power users" group on XP computer and user will be able to manage printers.
