Title: Fetchmail problem

My fetchmail has devolved a problem; it will not receive mail from one of my remote accounts. I looked at the log and here is what its shows.

I tried to do a fetch mail from the command prompt and this is what it is showing me:

[root]# fetchmail -a -p pop3 -u user --auth password mail.comcast.net
enter password for user@mail.comcast.net (655994 octets).
reading message 1 of 42 (28049 octets) ...............
 flushed
fetchmail: scoket error while fetching from mail.comcast.net
fetchmail: Query status=2 (Scoket)
[root]#

I tried to delete the last message from my account at comcast and rerun fetchmail. But I received the same error.

fetchmail was having the same problem from another providers account but it fixed itself, now fetchmail is receiveng mail from the other account just fine.

My system is SME 6.0.1
I used the how to from this website to install fetchmail.

i think it is not a fetchmail problem.
the socket error tells something different.
maybe there is a hardware-problem (the network card)?
