Title: How to setup 4.1.2/5.0 for Dial-In users?
Post by: ac on September 20, 2001, 10:59:33 AM
One installation has (in past) had a Novell network that allowed external user to dial-in for LAN access, so - naturally - they'd like to offer that kind of facility here,
as well as a way to let an off-site user have access to the Internet.

There was a patch (in contrib) that seemed to allow dialin users some degree of access, but it may or may not be applicable to more recent versions of e-smith / SME Server (if you know for sure, kindly tell us...).

What are our options and where are some HowTo's for this, please?

TIA

I'm interested in this as well.  I have a new SME v5.0 installation that needs dial-in access.  From all my searching, it looks like Stephen Noble's dialin RPM will not work with 5.0.

Is there any updated contrib that will work with 5.0???
