Title: Why can't I print graphics?
Post by: cnp on October 19, 2004, 12:28:54 PM
Gretings

My SME Server 6.0.1-01 controls my two printers a HP LaserJet 4L through the serial interface and a HP DeskJet 815C through the USB interface. Both printers are shared for the two W2K clients running in the same LAN.

Sometimes printing runs just perfect but most times I cannot print graphics and photos. Text prints just fine. A page with mixed text and graphics results in a print with text but without graphics.

Does anybody have an idea on what to do about this?

Your help is much appreciated on this one.

The default SME printing system is known to be a little bit messy. Strongly recommended to use the CUPS contrib instead. Works perfectly reliable once you've dug through the config.
