How do you set the address for a secondary DNS? Thanks
-
What I did was to define it in my mycompany.host.ext zone file. I still believe we may have to open certain ports so that external secondary DNS can fetch all the relevant DNS entries from my e-smith server but do not know how?
Has anybody done this? I really appreciate if any hints can be obtained on how a secondary DNS can update automatically the relevant DNS entries defined in e-smith server.
Thanks

hm.. yes. If you make your server as "slave", you will need to change the masq to allow tcp prototype for your DNS (53) because they use TCP to feed the master DNS data.
Check out Allen's Public DNS HOWTO in contrib howto
Hope it may help.
