When I am inside my SME network, I have trouble connecting out to other remote SME sites via VPN. Some work, some don't. If I connect to the internet with a full/non-shared IP bypassing my local SME, I have no problem connecting to those VPNs.
Is there a port I need to open up - or forward?
Thanks,
Chris Buechler

Hi,
Check:
1. The logs on the SME server to see if there's anything denied
2. If you are using an older OS like Win2K it's got issues with the pptp module. needs upgrades
3. If you have a personal firewall on your pc it might be blocking pptp traffic
4. Router config ..port forward ??
PPTP port that you are after is 1723 !
