For those who need a driver for the 3ware RAID controller 9000 series and SME v6.x, you can download it here (http://www.soneco.nl/downloads/sme/drivers/3ware/3w-9xxx.o)
The standard driver that's build in SME is not working on the 9000 series from 3ware.
Have fun...

Thanks for the driver. how do you install it (left shift accept dd and the driver in the floppy). The 9000 is 20% faster in writes than the 8000 and the price is similar. Read are much faster according to 3ware. I had a 8000 with 4 250GB in a Hot-Swap cage but I sold the controller and the drives. I am planning to buy the 9000 with 4 400GB drives to build back the demo server.

Sorry, don't now how to install the driver to boot from the raid array, i'm using the controller to get a lot of space and mounted the extra space to a ibay.
Just copy the driver to /lib/modules/2.4.20-18.7/kernel/drivers/scsi and from the console do a insmod 3w9xxx and mount the extra drive. There are a lot of how-to's to do that.
Just search the forums for the information. It's there. :-))
