How many processors can SME handle - I've searched for something I saw some while ago which seemed to say that two was the maximum, but I'd like to use four. Will it fly?

Normaly yes .. Just install boot the SMP kernel and run top at the command prompt.

I'm puzzled; why run top?

Because top reports the load on each CPU, so it's a handy way of checking that they're all being seen & used.

Just picked up a Compaq Proliant 8000. It has 6 x PIII 700mhz Xeon processors in it.
Will SME support this as-is? I'm currently running a Proliant 6500 with 4 x PIII 500mhz Xeon processors, and it's fine.
Any thoughts on 6 processors?
