Title: Intel 2200 DSL MODEM
Post by: Neririn on November 05, 2004, 01:08:02 AM
Has anyone had success with an Intel 2000 Internal DSL modem (used by Qwest) as the external PPOE interface in an SME box?  Does SME support such networking devices?  If not, Is there anyway to install such support if I find a 'driver'?

Thanks a million.

If at all possible, get qwest to send you an external modem.  I currently have two Qwest DSL connections:  1) With a Cisco 678 DSL modem (very sweet) and 2)Actiontec DSL modem.  You can't get the Cisco any longer, but the Actiontec is available.  I think it costs about $60.

Title: The current hope

I had hoped to use the existing hardware to avoid the expense of yet another modem.
