Post by: jvels on November 09, 2004, 08:19:05 PM
Hi

I have install 2 x 160gb ide133 hd on a Asrock K7VT6. I install SME with software raid. I can only transfere about 2mb/s to the disk???

I have talk with some people, they talking about SME does not have driver for the controller and therefor not support Ultradma, someone there can help me??

How can i update SME drivere or kernel?

Google is your friend, try it!

Your mobo uses a VIA 8237 Southbridge chip whoose ATA133 implementation has some issues with the stock IDE driver in some Linux versions:

You could ask someone nicely to build you a new kernel with the patches from the link above (perhaps MasterSleepy could help).

Good luck

Did you put the 2 HD on different IDE controler?
