Title: Is it worth upgrading to 6.0.1
Post by: oldi on November 09, 2004, 09:02:34 PM
I have installed sme 6.0 and was wondering whether it is worth upgrading to 6.0.1. Will this upgrade give a better security, performance, and stability?!

I did have a look at the changelog but being new to the world of linux, didn't help me to understand the difference between these two versions.

So i want to ask what everyone thinks?

From my experience, the answer is yes.  sme 6.0 was an early version with some problems (Horde password etc...).  So go for it and rest in peace - 6.01 is the best so far.

If you've got working SME6.0, then no need to upgrade. Its the same code with very minor updates and new logo.
If you thinking of installing new server, SME6.0.1 may help you to avoid some minor installation problems.
I would wait for new Lycoris version to show up and then  may consider upgrade from SME 6.0 if its worth it.
