Hello (again) everyone,
Ok, here's another rather easy question, please forgive me...as I said in my other post - it's been a LONG day. :(
What is the easiest and quickest way to implement email attachment blocking by file type, ie block EXE's, etc.?
I have my e-smith box setup with:
fetchmail-5.8.17-1.i386.rpm
e-smith-fetchmail-0.2-2.noarch.rpm
Thanks!
Regards,
Patrick (a very sleepy fellow at the moment)

Hello everyone,
I guess these questions are too basic for anyone to be interested in adding their thoughts?! :) Ok, well when I find the answers I'll post them here anyway.

Patrick

There's really no easy way to do this that I know of. Probably procmail could be made to do it, though; that's at least where I'd start looking. Start at procmail.org and go from there.

Dan,
Thanks for your help/input. :)
I'll go check procmail.org, but I'm wondering if RAV or another anti virus product may be the way to do this?
Regards,
Patrick

Well, procmail is free, and you have to pay for RAV... I don't know if RAV will do it (Darrell might know), and for that matter I'm not positive that procmail will either, but I figured procmail was worth a try.
