Hi All,
I have a working W2K system. I would like to replace W2K with SME 6.0 on this system.
System Spec: Intel N440BX MoBo w/ latest BIOS, two 500 MHz PIII installed, 512 MB, 1 IDE CDROM, 1 DAC960PG ( FW 4.06-0-08 ) w/ two IBM SCSI configured as RAID 1 set.
SME 6.0 graphical installation stops at " Loading DAC960 Driver ... ". After pressing ALT+F4, I see the loading progress is stopped at " <5> DAC960: ***** DAC960 RAID Driver 2.4.11 of 11 Oct 2001 *****, <5>DAC960: Copyright 1998-2001 by Leaonard N Zubkoff "
Questions:
1. Does any one know how to fix this ?
2. Does anyone know how to pass boot options during installation ? The reason is a Google link indicated that the hang may be attributable to a N440BX chipset with dual CPUs installed and configured locks with the embedded DAC960PG driver of SME 6 ( RH 7.3 ) installation. A boot pass option of noapic may solve this problem.
Thanks in advance.
