Title: dialup internet access
Post by: Paul Hales on September 28, 2001, 06:55:02 AM
I have tried to install 3 different version of e-smith, and I can't get any of them to connect to the internet.
It seems ( via dmesg ) that the com ports are ttyS00, ttyS01 and ttyS02, but the e-smith software only lets me choose between ttyS0, ttys1 and ttyS2.

Is there a quick and easy way around this?

regards,

Paul

Dmesg is wrong in this case - use the names that e-smith tells you

ttys0 - com 1
ttys1 - com 2

etc
