Title: Filesystem layout question
Post by: flagg0204 on December 17, 2004, 02:08:36 PM
I have a poweredge which I have built several arrays onto. My question is, are you able to change the way SME installs?  For example, Id want SME and all the config files to be installed on my mirrored array, but as far as tmp files and additional software I would want that to be stored elsewhere? Is this possible with SME or are you stuck with the default partition layout?

You can install it to one drive (or RAID) while athers are disconnected and later add more drives (Arrays) and mount then to different folders.
It seems the most popular way of using multiple drives, then SME installed on smaller drive or RAID and bigger drives (arrays) are mounted to /home or individual ibays for storage.
