Is there anyway to only permit mail for a specific pseudo name to only originate from users on the local network? My pseudo name "everyone" has been caught by a spammer and "everyone" gets the same spam messages. If mail destined to "everyone@mydomain.com" were have a way to check that the user either 1)was on the local subnet, or 2)had a valid username/password when sending mail, we'd have a fix!

.. if memory serves (please someone correct me if I am wrong) this is a know bug/problem and is already fixed; perhaps checkout the bug tracker.
I was digging around qmail today and in the folder /var/qmail/control there is a file called mailrules.default that deems to deal with this type of filtering, take a looksee.
Of course I am assuming SME 6.x

You really do need to check the bug tracker:
