Title: Cannot seem to use ftp to chmod etc ?
Post by: acs68 on December 31, 2004, 03:34:32 AM
Hi all,

I need to chmod some permissions in an ibay to install a faq script but am getting the following error when trying to chmod a folder that does exist.

"550 /ibays/intranet/html/faq/inc: Permission denied"
"Requested action not taken (e.g., file or directory not found, no access)."

I am using the admin user with the correct password etc.

The only thing I can think of is that I did change the admin password 3 months ago and haven't needed to chmod anything in that time - could that be the prob ?

any help would be appreciated.

cheers,

Adam

The ftp server does not accept the chmod command, for security reasons.
