Last week I've finished a RPM for automatic installation of knowledgeTree (http://sourceforge.net/projects/knowledgetree/).

Just for clarification, there are at least two KnowlegeTree projects at SourceForge:

Knowledge Tree - Learning Management System (pre-Alpha)
http://sourceforge.net/projects/knowledgetree/

KnowledgeTree Document Management Server
http://sourceforge.net/projects/kt-dms/
which seems to have 4 main elements. I assume you are installing this one? Does the rpm install all 4 elements?

Has the default username and password of admin admin been changed?

I've make the test on fresh new platform with all last upgrade and I've several problem.
1) log directorie is not accessible :
Solution : chmod -R g+w /opt/knowledgeTree/log/

2) problem with first login of user admin :
For this I'm not really sure of the solution but it solve it on my platform :

I'll correct the rpm soon.

Once again thanks for the great package, I have been looking for something like this for a long time!

For installation, I've just finish to make a test and it work like a charme.
Try to download it again and retry.

Post by: mudra on June 15, 2005, 09:01:07 PM: I have tried to download the rpm from mastersleepy's site, but the files size is only 615 kB and will not install properly.

The rpm -Uvh *.rpm results in a progress bar that goes to 100% but nothing in /opt. Just like the previous writer. I have tried downloading using different programs d4X etc... but still no joy.

Does anyone have a "good" copy of the rpm they could send me so that I can try this out.

Now you can have the noarch RPM. The RPM you have download is the source RPM.
