Title: IMAP Folders
Post by: william_syd on January 06, 2005, 12:19:46 PM
Hi,

When I connect to my SME mail server via IMAP with Thunderbird I can create folders but not sub-folders.

With ISP IMAP account I can.

Why is this so?

Regards,
William.

William

I use the same combination (Thunderbird mail client latest version/SMEserver version 6) without that problem. Subfolder works fine here.

Michael

Michael,

So, as a subfolder of your inbox you can have a folder called people. And in the people folder you can have 3 folders called peter, paul and mary?

If so, I must be doing something wrong.

Regards,
William.

There are no error messages from Thunderbird. It just wont do it.

Regards,
William.

SME Server 6.0.1-01.
Thunderbird version 1.0 (20041206)

I am using Thunderbird on WindowsXP.

Here are some pics of right clicking on folders. I'm missing the "New Subfolder" option.

EDIT

I now have the solution. The second check box was unselected.
