Hello ... I recently came across the Nitrobit group policy bridge for win 2k & xp clients from analytiq consulting in Germany which allows samba servers to deploy group policies like win 2k/2003 servers.
Apparently it can use open-ldap to extend its capabilities but can do a lot with policy
files saved in a network share. There is a test download available with a 42 day timeout.
The licence price for accademic use seems pretty reasonable. Looks like it could be a good fit with SME server.
