Went through a clean and easy installation with no errors. Followed the "Getting started"-procedure. But when the system restarts it runs easy past the BIOS screen and then halts with a "L_" on the screen and nothing happens.
Anybody got an idea of what I'm doing wrong?
This is my first installation outside the MS Windows world so one can say I'm totally novice. But this SME thing really looks like something I've allways wanted. Any suggestions would be nice :)
Thx /Brygger

Can you boot using the boot floppy you created during installation?

Hi irian and thank you for your reply.
I'm not able to boot from floppy cause the hardware doesn't have a floppy drive. So I don't know.
What I've found out is that it has something to do with the bootloader(?) and the BIOS. I'm using a special Single Board Computer (SBC) which has a Phoenix (or something like that) BIOS which is not compatible with the bootloader.
The situation now is that I've installed SME on another mainboard (VIA EDEN - mini-ITX) and it seems to be running as supposed. So now my problem is how do I get all applications to work (like MySQL, AntiVirus, AntiSpam, Apache and all other things for SME).
I'm completely new to Linux but like to know more about this OS (and SME in particular).
Regards
Brygger

This could well be. SME does not support the newest hardware. So that is usually an adventure :-)

I have no experience with MySQL and Apache. I don't use that (yet). MySQL will be installed by default though.
For Antivirus and Antispam:

Enjoy the new experience,
