Hello all,
I "promised" a friend of mine to host his website. Now I'm trying to fullfill my promise, but some problems came up.
I thought I should enable ftp to the ibay from "entire internet", and then he could use some ftp-client to move files to the ibays html directory.
But when logging in with the ibay name as user name, he gets to the files directory, and cant cd from there, or putting files to the directory.
Is there a proper way to do this, or does he have to mail me the files all the time?
Any suggestions are welcome!
Thank you!
Jonas

Hi Jonas,
A search on this forum would show lots of results for this problem. But if you go here:
http://www.dungog.net/sme/help/SMEhelp/Ftp%20Root%20Directory.html
there is all you need to know and the rpm is also on this site for download.
Regards,
Del

Have him install WinSCP and use that to move files around. Easy as pie.
