Hi Everyone,
I have a new SME Installation running in my house and I am in need of assistance with DNS setup, and installation of a Groupware Package. I know there are ample how-to's on both, but I am a bit under the gun as I want to migrate my current leased server onto SME before my lease expires at the end of January.
I currently host my own Primary DNS, with my Secondary being Twisted4life.com. I know SME is capable of being a DNS provider, so I just need to migrate the records across.
Secondly, I would like to install Open Exchange, but have heard (in this forum), that it is a b**** to install. I can be open for suggestions, but I really think OE is the best for what I need (platform independent as I access mail from both Linux and M$, also I like being able to centrally store Calendar and Contact info as well as mail).
With my server lease running out, I don't really have the luxury of time and I really want to make sure it is done right.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated everyone. Thanks in advance.

If poss build up a test server and try out the Public DNS scripts I wrote (email me for a copy!). I just consolidated the info in the forums into an easy to use install (and importantly) and un-install script; they were test on SME 6.0.1-01 custom. If happy with the result then just run them on you primary box (don't forget to open port 53 on your router if you have one).
Most people have not had a problem tho a coupla people have had some issues; check the Public DNS thread here. If your box is bascially a clean build of 6.0.1 then you should be fine.
Groupware wise Open Exchange is as you (and others) say a bit of a pig to setup so perhaps use something like Twiggi. Maybe post a list of the features you need and ask the forum what they think would do the job with the least aggravation.

G'Day!
Yes please could you email me your scripts or post them to this thread!
Does anyone know of any good reviews of either OpenGroupWare or eGroupWare? I know there are install how-to's for both of these on this forum but I'm struggling to see which is a better overall system.
thanks!
