My ISP currently blocks port 80, so I used a contrib to make Apache listen on a different port. However, though this works from within my local lan (to my new port #), I cannot access it from anywhere else. Therefore, I'd like to allow public access to my website on my SME Server. Do I need to manually configure the firewall to allow access to this port? What file contains the configuration for the firewall?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Rob

Maybe you could try to use the port forward panel to forward a different port to itself. I've never tried it but it might work.
Make sure your ISP is not blocking the other port you are trying to use.
Give the server a hard shutdown.
From the outside make sure you are tapping into that port: www.smeserveraddress.com:8080

So is there such thing as configuring the firewall in SME? What firewall does it have?
