Title: Replacing horde webmail?
Post by: djhomeless on January 17, 2005, 04:04:09 PM
Hi All,
Does anyone have any advice on replacing the horde webmail system with another package?

I presently use Iloha Mail (http://www.ilohamail.org) and I think it is really the best webmail package out there. It is really lightweight, and so far it handles IMAP and IMAP folders the cleanest.

Anyway, installing it on my SME is of course no problem, but I was wondering if there was a way to integrate it like horde (so instead of manually defining hosts in a script, it is dealt with at the system level).

Thanks in advance everyone,

Geoffrey

There have been successful attempts to replace the Horde webmail: http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=8239.0

A search after "squirrelmail" should also bring up some results.

Thanks for that! I'll give it a try and post my results here.
Title: Anybody try installing/upgrading to Horde 3.0

I see that Horde Webmail 3.0 has been released on 12/27/05.

Would that be a good upgrade? or still better off with squirrelmail or iloha mail?

Thanks!
