Yet another weird problem I am experiencing.
On one box things are fine, but on the other I cannot access the server-manager when I try to connect to that box via PPTP!
I am able to connect without problems and access resources on this box. I DO get a login prompt when trying to access the server manager, and also the failed login page if I fail 3 times. If I put in the correct login after some time I end up with a page cannot be displayed.
Again any help in how to troubleshoot this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi - if you putty and login as root you can run ps -aux and you should see /usr/sbin/httpd-admin somewhere to confirm server manager is running. You can also issue a service httpd-admin restart (or a start).
I am not sure what you mean when you say you get a login prompt - if you are using a browser and http://sme-internal-ip-address/server-manager you should either get the server-manager or an error. You may need to clarify what you are doing.

Thanks Brian. It is the most bizzare thing. I have indeed restarted httpd-admin. Tomorrow I will check the logs to see if I can find anything.
Box 1 I PPTP into and access server manager through the browser just fine.
Box 2 I PPTP into and do get a browse login prompt. It sucessfully refuses a bad login and goes to the access denied page after 3 attempts. Providing the correct credentials however leads to a page cannot be displayed error after some time.
I am not connected to both boxes at the same time. I can access all network resources on Box 2 when I am connected, just not server manager!
Boxs are connected via IPSEC.

If you install W2K and then PPTP to your server it should work fine.
I have the same problem with several servers.
That is the only solution I have found that works.
