Take care that your webcam or videokaart works:
-I have an usb philips webcam (PCVC675K "Vesta")
 modprobe pwc & insmod -f pwcx.o (downloaded of http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam )
-my pinnacle Tv-card becomes under 6.5 standard recognizes

I made an ibay that "motion" names.

I want to come with next command "motion -t /home/e-smith/files/ibays/motion/html/pictures"
De photographs in the right place now in this file.

You can adapt now also in /etc/motion/etc the line motion-dist.conf and name motion.conf .
Above the minimum is, but you can let make there of everything with o. a. films.

suggestions or improvements are welcome

greetings achaos

Hi achaos,

could you explain more the installation process for your webcam driver ? :
 modprobe pwc & insmod -f pwcx.o (downloaded of http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam )

i went on this link and didn't understand everything there.
did you patch the kernel, was it needed ?

how can i get this file pwcx.o ? or make it with the lib inside the tar file ?
thanks for help.

thansk achaos for the link,
but i can't handle all that stuffs...
too hard for me.

do i need to recompile the kernel ?
i tried to compile the source codes as explained with the "make" install, but i got this :
make -C /lib/modules/2.4.20-37.7.legacysmp/build SUBDIRS=/home/e-smith/files/ibays/Primary/files/pwc-10.0.6a modules
make: *** /lib/modules/2.4.20-37.7.legacysmp/build: Aucun fichier ou répertoire de ce type. Arrêt.
make: *** [default] Erreur 2

the file or directory is missing or empty ? my install is on a dual celeron (so smp version
do i need to install SME kernel source codes ?
is there anywhere an install explanation for the SME ?

could you explain how you got your pwcx.o file ?
thanks again.
