Title: SM6Beta3: PPTP Dialin
Post by: gbl on January 22, 2005, 03:33:20 PM
We're using SME6 al Proxy. Sill working perfect.
Now we will use SME as VPN Dialin Server for our Teleworkers. I have VPN in Usermanager enabled and PPTP Connections in Remoteaccess setup to 2.
On my Windows XP Box I setup a PPTP Connections, but Windows is always asking my for a Password.

BTW: Password is set in Usermanager, PPTP is on my Firewall open and forwarded. My Router is GRE enabled and tail -f /var/log/messages shows me incoming PPTP Connections...

A couple of things to check:

1. Have you specified in the server-manager that you want user X to have VPN access rights.

2. Are you logged into your windows box with a different user account than the one that you are trying to pptp in with?

The User have VPN access rights. Set via server-manager.

The Username ist the same as set it server-manager. I have tired many configurationoption like PAP/CHAP/MSCHAP.. . It's all the same result.

In V5 there I had to configure PPTP Access via commandline. But I lost this script.
