Hi,
I was wondering how to logon to an SME Domain from Windows XP Pro.
I can connect it to the Domain in the Computer name Section of the My Computer properties.
However, I cannot logon to the domain from the win xp pc. I get a logon message
"Windows cannot connect to the domain, either because the domain controller is down or otherwise unavailable, or because your computer account was not found."
Does anyone know how to sort this problem out?
Thanks.

Did you import /home/e-smith/files/server-resources/regedit/winxplogon.reg into the WinXP client's registry?

The procedure that smallstool links to might indeed work as well, but if you simply import the mentioned registry file, all the required settings are done instantly.

Copy the file to an accessable location (e.g. /home/e-smith/files/ibays/Primary/files), retrieve it on the client pc by accessing http://<your_sme_ip_or_hostname>/files/winxplogon.reg , double click on it (you need to have admin rights) and you're ready to add your WinXP machine to an SME domain.
