Title: Catch up with SME
Post by: gbentley on January 23, 2005, 11:10:50 PM
Hi All,

Been away from the forums for a while whilst hacking on Trustix Linux and FreeBSD :)

However I still have many SME installations to look after and am doing an install right now - Im still a big fan of SME - its what got me into Linux :)

(e-Smith 5.x was my first install - still have the orig CD they sent me from Canada :)

What I was wondering is this :-

I am still installing the Mitel v6.0 which seems fine for private server/gateway and my needs in general. I knew about 6.0.1 and the new branding as well as the Lycoris sponsorship. Now I log in and see there is a v6.5B1 !!!

What happened to the other point releases and what version are people generally using and relying on ?
(I think they call this 'Stable' in the BSD world)

Any tips / catch up news appreciated !

Thanks guys !

Graham

hello mate,

As far as I am aware, the lastest "stable" release is contrib.org SME server 6.0.1.

SME 6.5 is in the RC1 phase.
