Title: Upgrading from 6 to 6.0.1 -- is .iso the only way?
Post by: davejay on January 26, 2005, 09:46:17 AM
I'm upgrading a non-critical installation from 5.6 > 6 using the RPM updates. However, I have been unable to find RPM updates to continue upgrading from 6 > 6.0.1.

Before I waste a bunch of ibiblio's bandwidth, is there a collection of 6 > 6.0.1 upgrades, or is the .iso the only way to go?

Thanks in advance.

6.0 to 6.0.1 isn't really an upgrade. It's just a rebranding.

Hm. So, if I were to, say...

-> go 5.6 to 6 via RPMS...
-> apply 6.0.1 updates via RPMs...

...everything would be groovy? Or will I miss something vital (other than rebranding) that I'll need for security/bugfixes?

Nobody knows, eh? I assume you all downloaded and used the 6.0.1 iso, then? Because the bandwidth on ibiblio is painfully slow and keeps resetting...no fun at all.
