Title: Antivirus problems are occurring.

I looked around and didn't find anything like this I am posting it here. I installed the Knudsen Clam and Spam Filter. I'm getting a problem daily where all emails are being put into the problems directory. The server slows to a crawl and I have to reboot it and then go into the user panel and release the problem messages. A ps aux doesn't show any thing using much RAM or CPU time.

Also, the directory /var/spool/amavis-ng is growing with subdirectories called /amavis-unpack-{bunch of numbers}. For example I already have 50 with todays date.

Any ideads?

Large email attachments can cause this.  What is the size of the problem mail you are seeing?

Update the clamav install with the script from here:

there was a minor update and this should fix the problem you are having.
