Title: scsi adapter 78xx compatiablity

I am unable to load sme 6.0.1 on adaptec scsi adapter 7810 under the fedora environment[u/].
 Though it is said that firm ware has to be updated .
Please provide the solution to rectify the problem.

Just grab that rpm and put it on a floppy

as the sme cd is booting, hold left shift, then when the prompt appears, type: linux dd

when it askes you to insert the driver disk, do so.

Hopefully that will work.

I don't think that is an identical match for your card but it may work.
