Has anyone implemented Microsoft's FrontPage Extensions v 2002 on SME v5.0? Can it be done?
-
Nobody's exactly likely to do this.
Having FrontPage Server Extensions on Linux is a security flaw akin to giving Saddam Hussein's entire army Israeli entry visas - with weapons.

I use FrontPage with an iBay, and it works just as well as FrontPage Server
Trojan Extensions. Simply create an iBay in the proper place, and save your "Web" to that location. FP will put in all the MS hoo-haa necessary to make it fully funcitional.

Frontpage won't let me work with the default site. I want this to be the "company" main website. Do you know how to do this?Dan wrote:

There is package around that offers a 'nix version of a couple of the Frontpage extensions (circa '97). In true emulation style, they recreate the security issues perfectly. :)

or make the i-bay and redirect from the primary page
-
Or you could use a proper html editing program, which ships with windows free of charge, called notepad.exe
:-)
-Why use frontpage ? - php+mysql = good - I'm a convert.

Allen,
How do I do the redirect from the default site? Can you tell me step by step?
Thanks in advance!

I use the 'meta http-equiv' thusly:
That shows them a blank white page for 1 second, then opens the "real" page.
