Ok - trying to get my heads round the email server and hope someone can put me right.
Server setup and got fetchmail working which is great for my mate. Setup to send via his smtp server - in this case wanadoo.
But alos going to get hima dyndns account - because he wanst to run a small website. He though has a domain. I can forard all web hits to the dyndns account - hence will then go straight to the webserver - note his ip address changes hence the reason why
But email server?
OK - can change the domain name of the server - fine.
But do I need to still keep the smtp server for wanadoo or if I set the smtp server as this server, am I right - the server will do all the work.
Sorry for the lame question but been a long 12 hours getting this up and running and so far - spot on help.

Scott,
Plus Net in the UK provide static IP's on ADSL which makes it easy to do things like VPN and webserving serving.
Also, a .co.uk with uk2.net cost only 12.50 and you can point it at any IP you wish.
Some ISP's however block port 25 (not sure about +net)

Well -Use NTL and port 25 is not blocked and my mate - who this is for - uses wanadoo and it seems with his Netgear router - port 25 maybe open
