Hello,
I am a new (french) user of SME (6.0.1-01) and a real newbee in Linux world.
As the SME server admin, I every day receive a mail telling me :
"LibClamAV Warning: ****************************************************
LibClamAV Warning: *** This version of ClamAV engine is outdated. ***
LibClamAV Warning: *** Please update it IMMEDIATELY! ***
LibClamAV Warning: ****************************************************
LibClamAV Warning: Unknown encoding type "7bit<br>" - report to bugs@clamav.net
LibClamAV Warning: Unknown encoding type "quoted-printable<br>" - report to bugs@clamav.net
LibClamAV Warning: Unknown encoding type "7bit<br>" - report to bugs@clamav.net
LibClamAV Warning: Unknown encoding type "quoted-printable<br>" - report to bugs@clamav.net
LibClamAV Warning: Unknown encoding type "7bit<br>" - report to bugs@clamav.net
LibClamAV Warning: Unknown encoding type "quoted-printable<br>" - report to bugs@clamav.net "
I do not know how to update clamav engine that I have installed by excactly following an online (very good) procedure.
Would somebody (patient) accept to indicate to me a solution ?
Many thank for your support.

You could try Jesper's wonderful site.

I ran the update, but I'm still getting the message.
How can I verify which version is installed?

Are you sure you ran the update correctly? If you are still getting the out of date error, then something isn't updating correctly.
Do this:
rpm -qa | grep clam
clamav-es-0.81-es01
clamav-es-libs-0.81-es01
If you don't have the .81 versions, then we need to get your updated to these.
Jesper's site and script is currently up to date with clam versions.

It might have been an old message.. :|
I'll take a closer look...
