Title: Newbie Question about 6.0.1

I am trying to setup 6.0.1 to do the following things
1 File/Print Sharing
2 Gateway including proxy and pop/smtp client requests through MS boxes on the network.

i have setup as a Private Gateway/Server

I can get web browsers requests and file sharing

But i can not get the pop/smtp client requests to work

By the way i am running on dial up as well

Can anyone help?

what email client are you using and what are the settings your configuring it with?

Iam using XP Pro SP2 with Outlook Express

i am using the same setting as using dailup on the xp box

i have multiple email addresses
isp given address
&
three other address under a domain which is hosted by the isp

I do not need to have a email server running at home

i always thought i would work just like MS ICS or am i wrong

Should work fine, without glitches. What I suggest for your protection is to install fetchmail, AV and anti-spam and let SME do the work for you. Do a search for How-To's

Did you ever get this working?
