Title: dyndns.org build-in client
Post by: Benjamin Putsch on October 09, 2001, 03:31:52 PM
Hello!

I just get SME 5 running.
But there is still a problem which i can't solve by myself.

I signed up at dyndns.org and get a user/password combination. I can sign in and can make changes on hosts i.e myhost.dyndns.org manually

During SME5 Installation i selected dyndns.org service and provided my user/password combination.

The problem is that after a reboot myhost.dyndns.org is not updated with the new IP. In fact it was never updated by SME5.

Do I have to specify myhost.dyndns.org somewhere in the system?

What I have done so far

- added virtual domain "myhost.dyndns.org"
- primary domain is set to "something.netz" (Yes "something.netz"!!!)
- I working with an ADSL connection and PPPoE and everything works fine

Thanks
Benjamin

OK, everything is fine now.

I found out that the primary domain is used for the athetification so i put myhost.dyndns.org into the login script
