Title: Mail and FTP problems from inside local network!
Post by: WEBlance on February 12, 2005, 04:53:21 PM
Hi!

My network looks like this:

Internet > DLS-Router > SME-server (version 6.0.1-01, configured as server only).
My workstation is also connectet to the same router as the server.

My problem is that I can't connect to the server from my workstation using the servers external domain (www). I can't send emails through the secure mail server when i use mail.domain.dk but I can if I use the local address 192.168.2.100.
The same problem occurs when I try to access the server on the FTP. I can't connect using ftp.domain.dk but I can using 192.168.2.100.

I can however connect to the server in any way using the domain when I'm outside the local network.

In the router the servers ip (192.168.2.100) is in a DMZ!

Does anyone know what the problem is and how to correct it??

P.S. I have earlyer configured the server as server-and-gateway and at that time I didn't have this problem. The reason I don't use this configuration now is that I use a new server and can't get the server/gateway conf. to work on this new server.
